swing Kids

In the 1950’s , Richard Billings had a well known group of young ballroom dancers known as the “Billings Swingsters”. In 2005, Billings Dance Center introduced the a new group called the “Swing Kids” in response to growing interest in ballroom dancing related to the many movies and TV shows featuring ballroom dancing. Because it was the younger set that really caught the ballroom bug, the “Swing Kids” group took quickly grew from 2 or 3 couples to 20 or 30 every Friday night, with many on a waiting list to get in!

Though the group is called the “Swing Kids”, the 8-18 year old members actually learn all styles of ballroom dance – not just Swing. They also perform at competitions, Breakfast with Santa, Recital, and provide demonstrations of ballroom dance for various events and occasions.

No audition is required for this class, but you must have a partner and start at the beginning level.
